Overview
A mortgage (real estate loan) finances the purchase, construction or refinancing of an owner-occupied or rented property. It is usually secured by a land charge and runs for many years.
Key levers are equity, fixed-rate period, repayment rate and special repayment options. We work through several scenarios with you so the financing remains sustainable if your circumstances change.

FAQ
How much equity do I need?
Ideally, at least the purchase costs (property transfer tax, notary, land registry, agent if any) should come from equity. More equity usually improves the terms.
Which fixed-rate period makes sense?
It depends on your plans and need for security. Longer fixed periods offer more certainty but are often slightly more expensive.
What is the ESIS sheet?
The European Standardised Information Sheet summarises all key loan terms. You receive it before signing and can use it to compare offers.
Can I repay early?
During the fixed-rate period this is usually only possible with early repayment compensation. Agreed special repayments are separate.
